In very good condition with little to no signs of wear or rubbing. Intricate details of York Minster are all present and crisp. Main body, sides and edge decoration all in superb condition. Inscription to underside is contemporary to the box and dates 28th November 1842.
Internal gilding in very good condition with no wear spots. Hallmarks on both inside lid and inside base in perfect order. Small hairline to underside near inscription.
