A fine quality pair of George III silver salt cellars on trio of decorated feet. Finely gilded bowls and rims. Family initials to underside (T&E - H) with set of matched hallmarks.

Condition
Generally both in good condition for 260 years old. All feet in good order with no evidence of cracks, damage or previous repair. Condition of decoration to upper and lower parts of feet in very good condition with little signs of wear. Bodies of both show minor marks commensurate with age and use but better than most. One showing a vertical hairline fault along waist (see images). Gilding very clean and not believed to be original but done to a very high quality. Bowls both very clean with no salt damage as usually found in most salt cellars. Hallmarks on both rubbed but all marks legible.
