An unusually large, heavy and good quality silver twin handled cup by John Langlands I. Complete with a central floral cartouche.

Condition
Overall in good condition. Body in good rounded shape. Top rim showing no signs of cracking or damage. Both handles in fair condition. One handle showing a fine and small hairline crack to lobe. Other handle has evidence of historic repair (see photo). Lion Passant, Newcastle Mark, Leopards Head, Date Letter M and 3x Makers Marks all in good condition. Floral cartouche in good clean condition. Cartouche and rear of cup have had engravings removed which has thinned silver in spots. Foot-rim in excellent condition with no damage or evidence of repair. Body in good overall condition considering age. Other small marks commensurate with age but generally good.
